Angel Academy
The Angel Academy: A Mother’s Day Out Program has been a ministry of St. Andrew Church since 1989. Each of our classes is staffed by loving, capable, and considerate employees who desire the very best for each child. Due to the small class sizes, students are able to form deep connections with their teacher which provides a safe and nurturing learning environment. Each Wednesday morning the children gather with the pastor for chapel. During this time the students join in prayer, song, and reading the Bible.

The youngest class is Ms. Sarah's class ages 2 -3. Sarah Garrisons began as a teacher at Angel Academy in 2019. Her oldest daughter is an alumni of the Angel Academy! Sarah is married with two daughters, Layla and Harper. Sarah also has two dogs and one fish. Sarah graduated college from the University of New Mexico with my Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education.
Ms. Rebekah’s Raccoons are ages 3-4. An Angel Academy alumni herself (graduating class of 1994), Rebekah Dunaway has been teaching in the parent’s day out setting since 2010. Children in this class learn colors, shapes, how to count to 20, and to trace letters and their names.
The oldest class is Ms. O’Connor’s Owls. These students are ages 4-5/Pre-K. Brenda O’Connor has a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education from Stephen F. Austin University. She taught for 7 years in public school. Ms. O'Connor has taught the Pre-K class at Angel Academy since 1995. Ms. O’Connor is also a substitute at Spring Hill Primary. Children in this class learn how to write first and last names, write uppercase and lowercase letters, simple math problems, and to count to 30 in English and Spanish. The students begin sight words in the spring.
